Hopefully more nations will attempt to qualify in the next classic. The likes of  will be looking to take one of the spots from the regulated nations, but I'd love to see what the likes of  can do. If their nation takes it seriously they could achieve some result.

Surprisingly, Italy-Mexico will be broadcast live tonight on Rai 2. I believe that never in history has the national baseball team been broadcast on RAI's generalist channels rather than on RaiSport

if don't make it to the 2nd round (and then the "gold medal match"), I fear it would be the nail on the coffin of mlb players going to LA2028 (which I'm still convinced in the end they won't go anyway, but this is another story and involves also a full 2027 season cancelled because of a strike/lockout)

Cuba put some pressure on in the 6th inning but only scored 1 run. Still 5-2 lead for Canada
