But you had Innerhofer. Nobody cared about slalom there those days if i remember correctluly

We had Giorgio Rocca, Manfred Moelgg, Guliano Razzoli- Olimpics Champion from 2010. They weren't stars like Tomba, but top skiers. Now we have no one. Vinatzer is not good for slalom. In speed skiing there is also Paris, who is 35 years old. The situation is tragic. Norway, Switzerland, Austria have entire teams of great competitors, France has Noel, Amiez and we have no one. Without radical changes we will soon be at the level of Bulgaria or Poland.

Noel very impressive. But I think some other guys will be closer to him in January/February. A very good start to a very interesting season

I'm really sad for Italian slalom. The more countries in the mix the better.

But please don't compare Bulgaria to Poland here. They are much stronger than us.

If we are worse in alpine skiing than some alpine countries - well, it's ok, it's expected.

But not be as good as Bulgaria, Czechia or Slovakia - c'mon...

France will has the winter games in 2030 and believe me, they will be ready, just as they were ready for the summer Paris. However, we are not able to use such big events at home. After 2006 and Turin, our winter sport experienced the worst period in the 21st century. Now it will be similar, when Goggia, Brignone, Paris etc. leave.

We will never be as good in sports like Italy. You are 60 million people living nicely in the Mediterranean. We are less than 40 million living in the battleground between Russia and Germany. So i don't have any high expectations. But still, we are worse in alpine than Estonia??? C'mon.

In 2019 they gave us the games in Cortina. Then there should be a plan to be strong then. We should hire good coaches and invest a lot of money. Then there would be medals. Nothing has been done, and our best coaches work in Switzerland or in private teams.

I would love to see Roma summer olympics in my lifetime. And i hope you will have a great team then.

And i am hoping Goggia will be a superstar in 2026 olympics. Just please - no injuries for her few weeks before the games this time.

But how many of those 60 million live in the mountains? Do you think anyone in Sicily or Naples skis? Tomba came from Bologna and that was already a rarity but he had a wealthy father who paid for his training.

Goggia was seriously thinking about ending her career after her last injury :( Her current form is a big mystery.

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
    • Here's my calculations of the quotas. I believe you are correct about Italy having 3 quotas in men's singles.   Men's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:   data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw==   Women's Singles   3 Quotas: 2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Men's Doubles   2 Quotas: 1 Quota:     Women's Doubles   1 Quota:
