FOOTBALL

Men's Tournament :BRA :SEN :ESP

Women's Tournament :USA :NOR :JPN

POL W Team is weak. But POL M Team plays quite well and loses only in QF vs ESP on penalties. SEN catches all the publicity playing very entertaining football and they are stopped only in the final by BRA.

It's been interesting.

One thing you could do is try to predict future powerhouses (or weaknesses). For example, I imagine India will be a bit more prominent in the medal table, especially if they get to host 2036 or 2040.

Sure, I will try do it. At the end of it i will try to do some kind of summary. And I try to do it sometimes here sport by sport (e.g. KOR will still be dominant in archery, CHN will still be the best in diving, HUN will be powerhouse in water polo...)

You are right about IND I guess. I have already predicted they will come back strong in M hockey (bronze medal there). Two of their strong sports are already done here - archery and badminton. I haven't predicted a medal for IND in these sports but surely it can go other way around... I think IND will be very strong in these two sports, they will be contenders here. But the level will be higher and higher - I mean IND will improve in badminton but INA will also improve and they start from different levels so... IND will improve but you still don't know if it is enough for medals because others will improve as well.

BASKETBALL

M Tournament :USA :LTU :ARG

W Tournament :USA :FRA :CHN

USA will be the strongest but they will some matches easily but some others in the overtime. LTU will be everyone's favourite, great program in LTU will be successful and thousands of LTU fans will come to Warsaw to support their team, this will be a major advantage for them. ARG will be back, FRA 4th here.

POL M Team in QFs but losing to USA heavily. We will have 5 NBA players then though.

POL W Team will be weak. They will lose all the matches, even vs :SEN. In general, I think SEN will be better and better in some sports, their economy will be stronger and stronger and they will become one of the major countries in Africa, maybe they already are.
