Good news! The four Swedish races this weekend are actually going out on Eurovision Sport!  So no messing about with VPNs etc.

Do you happen to have the full program for the ones in Sweden and Norway? Somehow I can't find them, which is probably on me, but still :p

Both of these races usually have huge (well over 100) fields, because they're trying to give as many people a chance as possible.

:SWE - Idre Fjall

Saturday - Short Individual Men + Short Individual Women

Sunday - Sprint Men + Sprint Women

Don't see more info for that though, maybe one of our Swedes can find something.

:NOR - Sjusjoen

Saturday - Sprint Women + Sprint Men

Sunday - Mass Start Women + Mass Start Men

Sesongstart Skiskyting – Sjusjøen

And the results page

Thanks, I always forget the name of the season opening in Sjusjoen, but yeah, Sesongstart it is :p

Idre will be the easy one for me to find probably, @brunamoura is there right now and her coach will compete tomorrow, so getting some info on start times shouldn't be too hard :p

.

I believe there will be some streaming because they were preparing a lot of cameras everywhere at the stadium today.

Timetables for Idre:

Start lists and results should appear here:

And indeed on Eurovisionsports and I assume Swedish TV as well. Gonna be fun!

.

Looks like the schedule in Sjusjoen has moved up, NRK now showing the women's sprint to start at 11 instead of 09.45

.

100% record for :SWE Samuelsson- 1 1 1 1.   :roflmao:

Windy day but all the home shooting has been poor.

Looks like Mandzyn :UKR ftw with 18/20.

And that has messed up the international streaming!

Since we are approaching the festive holiday season, I want you all to post some festive songs from your country. If you don’t celebrate Christmas then perhaps some other song that has a special place in your heart during an important celebration.     I’m going to start with a Christmas song from Ireland’s TISC Annual 2023 representatives Picture This.     Picture This - This Christmas

    • Juniors were there recently and the track was awful   Although that's not necessarily bad. Tracks don't all need to be fast, a slow track (like the horribly slow one in Poland) simply favors a different style of athletes. Training a lot there doesn't really give much extra advantage though, not like in sliding sports where of course as host country you make sure your athletes know every single meter a year before the Olympics.    And to get back on topic: speed skater Elisa Dul broke her tibia and fibula in a training fall yesterday and will obviously be out of the OQT and so the Olympics.
    • The PSL race in Davos was (yet another) insult to a beautiful discipline. The red course (which was actually yellow) had several holes and an exposed ice sheet, which made the athletes slide way too long, causing DNFs or massive time losses. The only positive note is that Caffont won despite racing on the more dangerous course in the final

    • Not just Erin Jackson, but several others like for instance Joep Wennemars. Think of it what you may, it’s all down to the way the rules are written up. The rationale is probably to prevent that a rider that falls is automatically relegated to the B group.
