I love volleyball (and I might still watch a few games anyways), but I just don’t know how worth it is to invest my energy into this. Most teams are fielding C teams

I think the games are at a good level (except Serbia vs. Turkey). I think most teams today can send an interesting C team these days, unlike the women's side .

Serbia is getting worse and worse in men's volleyball.

I already thought the level of the women's team was worrying, but the team is still very talented. The men's team, on the other hand, is not impressive after these two matches.

We are only on day 2 and teams are already getting wins over high seeded ones.

Ukraine beat USA, China beat Serbia, Argentina beat France, but unsurprisingly we were the ones to lose to Italy  And I actually think we played a very good match, just Italy didn't make any play mistakes for practically 3 out of 4 sets.

Italy loses to France's reserves. If we lose to France B, what can be said about France A? Even with Michieletto's return, I don't see any chance of a World Cup medal this season. After the unexpected gold at the 2022 World Cup, we are not making any progress and the likes of France and Poland are crushing us. By the way, we lost our 4th official match in a row to France since 2023 and this is another team sport where we are worse than them. And we only have volleyball, because in football or basketball we are at the bottom. In 4 major team sports: football, basketball, handball and volleyball, where we are behind France. Only in women's volleyball we are better... It is a shame that we cannot at least have a better team in men's volleyball.

At the World Championships, to win a medal, we will have to beat Argentina and France. I don't believe in that, so the VNL is our only chance for some success this year and looking at the current form, it will be a problem to advance to the Final Round. It will probably end with another empty year and another year of regression for our team. As of today, we have no arguments to beat France and Poland and I don't see any chance in the future for this gap to decrease.

Italy needs someone better than Romanò.

Rychlicki has joined this year, but he is at a similar level to Romano. It`s also worrying that Bovolenta is not making progress and he has a potential for a big career. It doesn't look good for us today. France and Poland are out of reach - also mentally. Since 2022, we have made basically no progress, on the contrary - there is regression.
