I don't know much about the men's side, I voted  mostly because I like them.

 

On the women's side I have a feeling Boskovic is gonna carry  to gold like last world championships.  would be my 2nd and 3rd choices.

On the men’s side, I’ll go with  

 

I don’t trust  to perform during the Olympics… they always go out during the quarterfinals 

 

 For the women,  or  (leaning towards Brazil)

I think  wins in the men's (Italy and Japan, please) and ,  or in the women's (I still think Serbia will pay the price of not sending its main team to the VNL).

Well, as you said there is no prediction contest for team sports, then maybe we all will pick top3 in every sport in their respective threads?
