So I would be in favour of cross country running or cyclocross as long as a large part of the playing field for both is covered in snow and part of the challenge includes navigating winter conditions. Also why I'm in favour of snow volleyball being considered.

 

(I'm also a big fan of including ice climbing in the winter Olympics, but I think that's a less controversial idea with regard to it being a "real" winter sport)

I wouldn’t mind ice climbing, but there’s a couple sports and events (like FreeRide, telemark skiing, and team ski cross) that I’d probably add before.

Not team ski cross  

 

And that's coming from someone who absolutely loves watching the ski cross. Team ski cross just adds nothing at all. Whereas athletics relays make for an entirely different dynamic (a 4x100 is a very much different event than the 100m and results are entirely different than if you'd just add up everyone's 100m times), the team ski/snowboard cross is literally just two team members doing their runs back-to-back with no direct exchange or anything.

Oh I agree, but I think the main reason why I want it on the program is more medal potential  (Canada has that, while Netherlands does not)

Eh, I actually think the luge team event is the best luge event in terms of TV.

 

It actually has a lot of room for variance.

Well at least for me, I’m sure if the FIL added a mixed doubles event to the WC circuit that would be my favourite event in terms of TV (for reasons that will stayed unspecified, but you could probably guess)

But how? I've seen basically all World Cups and major events in the past 6-7-8 years or so, but the team event is usually the easiest one to skip through when watching later  

 

Not like it is never exciting, but it doesn't really add much. The only thing that is actually different is sitting up to hit the paddle, apart from that it is simply a few consecutive runs put together. Of course it needed to be there, because every sport 'needs' a (mixed) team event for whatever reason.

Right. I would be in favour of also having seperate medal events for the speed skating allround and speed skating sprint classifications

It's time for the luge sprint events to become olympic. A luge sprint Mixed-Teamrelay wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Before I react wrongly: you are joking, right?  

 

Talking about events that add nothing at all...(and again, yes, I watch the World Cups and everything, but things like that can stay nicely in the sport-specific World Cups and championships and away from something like the Olympics, just like the biathlon sprint and pursuit should not both be an Olympic medal event and that's a hill I'll gladly die on )
