Junior Pan American Games 2025 Road to LA 2028

Recommended Posts

Looks like Cuba was able the sneak past Chile on the final day, while the two golds from Guatemala wasn't enough to break into the top 10 due to having fewer silvers.

:MEX :CUB :ECU were the NOCs that didn't got near their medal count from last Games.

:COL also saw a big decrease in medals relative to 2021, but they were the host nation so they have a bit of an excuse.

:DOM:PER:CRC are probably disappointed with their performance. Costa Rica went from 10 medals to 1.

The biggest winner is :CAN as they went from not caring to semi-caring, giving them an increase of 53 medals relative to 2021. :USA also gained a healthy 28 medals and that's despite still not competing in athletics or swimming. :ARG gained 22 medals and :JAM sent a more competent team and won 15 medals after winning none in 2021.

I am very satisfied with the argentinian performance, its the first time in decades that im surprised for well of the general performance of our delegation.

Congratulations @Fer GUA for a very good performance of Guatemala with those golf golds in the end.

i Want to read opinions about your delegation, i presume @JoshMartini007 is satisfied with Canada.

this however could be considered as a semi-boycott of the games by USA :d

For :GUA it was a success since half the medals won are gold.  The delegation was the same number of athletes, 122, as last time. So, in comparison it was a better performance.

I think Athletics can improve, very few athletes competed from :GUA, but I guess a new generation is starting the cycle.

For me Golf was a surprise, I don't follow that sport so didn't know how good they were.

    • (Men) withdrew from the qualifiers in Egypt due to the warning issued by the Department of State to US nationals in the middle east.    They had lost their first two games and were already eliminated anyway.
    • In yesterday matches, ,  and  qualified to the final tournament. Big surprise as Antigua and Barbuda defeated the Dominicans, and  defeated El Salvador 2-0 but they needed to win for atleast 3 goals so they are out. Big shoutout to Antigua and Barbuda and Jamaica who ended the group without receiving any goal.    In today's matches,  defeated  3-0 so they become the 10th team to enter the final tournament. In a couple of hours, we will have the final teams.    plays , both have 9 points but the goal difference is in favor of Haiti who is 14-0 (Curazao is 12-2). A draw benefits Haiti.   In the other match,  qualification is almost locked. Canada have 9 points and a 24-0 goal difference, and plays  who is runner-up with 6 points and 11-5 GD. This means, the only way for Nicaragua to qualify is to win by 10 goals or more.
