I hope these don't become famous last words, and no disrespect, but Canada got lucky (on paper) for the quarters. Italy did beat a good Hungarian team, but Hungary already knew they finished 1st so maybe they weren't trying as hard.

Canada probably would’ve beaten Hungary regardless, so IMO it’s a moot point. Hungary were probably trying their best to avoid us though.

Disappointing result for the  girls missing the QFs and with that the last chance at Olympic qualification. Feel like they were a good and worthy team.

Italy has a very old team: three players are over 30 years old. Two of them played at the Tokyo Olympics. It's a pity they didn't bring in 1-2 players from the top Italian 5v5 basketball clubs. Many teams do this. Only this would require shortening the season, because the finals are still underway in Italy. unfortunately we were placed in the group of death and now in 1/4 final we have probably the strongest team here: Canada. Only Spain is still as strong.

If the history of the first two oqt’sis respected, Italy will definitely qualify. In both those tournaments the Dutch team beat the qualifying team in the group fase.
