:CAN Dabrowski/Auger-Aliassime through to the semifinals in mixed doubles after going down 6-8 in the super TB! :hyper::yes

We’ve only won one Olympic medal (a gold in men’s doubles in 2000) in history, if we can win a medal what a result that would be ;)

Vintage WTA mugfest. Three hours and :CRO Donna Vekic beats :UKR Marta Kostyuk 7-6 in the final set TB (10-8). She served for the match twice before, got some cramping but ended the last point with an ace.

Schmiedlova should be fresh as a daisy in the SF :p

    • There is a saying to never trust a Russian in gymnastics. Well, ex-Russian turned Bulgarian Elvira Krasnobaeva is transferring now to Armenia.   The "official" reason is for personal, family matters, but in reality it's most likely because she wasn't selected for Paris, which angered her parents. Even though she is only 16, had her breakthrough just this year and started making mistakes, when they amped up the difficulty.   Our Federation's President Iliana Raeva said today, that she received calls also from France and Azerbaijan about Elvira's mother basically auctioning her. Raeva mentioned, that Krasnobaeva was going to be a vocal point in the next Olympic cycle, but now she can hit the road and missed her chance to ever compete for Bulgaria, even if she wanted to in the future.    We are also going to make a new Group from next season. After the disappointment in Paris, 4 out of the 5 girls announced their retirement.
    • true, but was expecting India to get troubles from Australia, not from New Zealand, and specially not by being bowled out. Makes the group phase interesting though
    • The 4th best team in the world beating the 3rd best team in the world is not a huge surprise though.
    • I’ve been recently introduced by some friends to cricket (or the t20 version of it, at least) and actually liked it so I’m following the World Cup that’s happening during this month
