Absolute clown decision to choose a washed Dellavedova over Thybulle, who is one of the best on defence around

No medal for Aus this time

Any word on our final roster? @George_D

It seems Kostas Antetokounmpo will not be able to play due to his new injury, I read that Kouzeloglou will be the backup due to the position he plays. Not exactly an Olympic level player...Is Agravanis still struggling with injury?

Also what about Sloukas and Papapetrou who claim to be injured, will they be back in time and if so will they join the team? I can't see Moraitis going considering he barely played in the OQT and is our "weakest" player probably.

sloukas is saying he's not going to join the team because ''it wouldn't be morally fair for him to play in the olympic games after missing the OQT'' saw this on a sports site here.

I haven't seen it on our sports sites, but it is interesting that suddenly the snake Sloukas cares about morals after what he did in the past year  (I am bitter about his decisions regarding club basketball, don't mind me )

    • Ukraine has made progress recently and lost yesterday on penalties to the UK, but that still doesn't explain why the Italian team isn't making any progress. We are sitting in a lower division for 3 years and that's with a ban for Rus and Blr. New and great coaches are being brought in and it's not giving any results. 8-10 years ago we were regularly playing in the highest division, every 2 years and that was with a much stronger teams (Russia and Belarus were there). I don't know where the problem is.

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
    • after a few leagues ended well before the true climax, now we have both leagues from the good, old Czechoslovakia going to game #7    shame that both games will be at the exact same time
