Dunno if there any Speedway fans on here - apart from tram racing it’s the only motorsport I like - but the Polish League starts again tonight.  It’s a strange sport in that the best riders can belong to different teams in different countries at the same time.

Eurosport used to show it and I used to watch it every now and then ages and ages ago, I used to like it but also remember the positions often being more or less decided after the first curve :p

That would happen on poorly-prepared tracks.  On better ones you get more action.

The problem is that those poorly-prepared tracks are safer. And concerning the fact that a certain part of Eurosport rights are Junior Worlds, they are usually prepared for being safer (not to mention some athletes themselves being less skilled). Also the preparing track for more interesting competition is usually taken as using the home track as an advantage and is being critisized by track commissioners who urge to prepare safer/more boring tracks.

The track commissioner is the biggest shit position created in this sport.

Multi-national - but mostly European - Rugby Union Pro-14 League to restart in August.  Different countries, so different rulings on fans.  Will finish current season with play-offs.
