@nitinsankerI only read the table tennis preview from your end. And I must say it is not a comprehensive one.

You mentioned about beating Chinese opponents in the recent past. But the point here is that this is the first time that the Indian contingent is without their powerhouse West Bengal. And beating those Chinese opponents have huge contributions from them be it Sutirtha or Ayhika

Coming to match against Romania, Manika Batra has beaten their top ranked player thrice in their last 4 encounters. Even India's next 2 ranked players like Sreeja Akula and others are better ranked than Romanian counterparts.

One important aspect is the controversial choice of Manika Batra's doubles partner selection , the girl from Karnataka - Kamath

The team will be bolstered by the presence of their former and lucky Italian coach

The team will want to give a fitting tribute to the old horse and flag bearer Achanta Sharath Kamal. The team would like to play for him.

Why can't the boys take a cue from the girls to play bravely against China? Imagine what will be the team morale if they conquer China in the 1st round.

Last but not the least , Harmeet Desai is in the form of his life. We can expect the unexpected from him even if he is the only few to be playing the preliminary round.

Bro ...  You said my report was not comprehensive that the Chinese defeats were primarily by sutirtha and ayhika ....

From the world team championship

 After Manika brushed aside Xiao 3-0 (11-9, 11-2, 11-4), Sreeja took down the southpaw Zhang 3-1 (11-6, 11-13, 11-6, 11-3).

Yes I was talking about the recent season.  2024..

Ayhika took down world no. 1 and Sreeja Akula and Manika Batra separately took down World no. 2.

The report was not comprehensive because it did not cover many important points including Archana Kamath's selection criteria, Coach Masimo's inclusion, Achanta Sharath Kamal's leadership role, etc.

In the saudi smash 2024 may ...

Indian table tennis star Manika Batra shocked World No. 2 Wang Manyu of China to secure the biggest win of her singles career and enter the pre-quarterfinals of the Saudi Smash.

Indian table tennis star sreeja won against Chinese in the final of lagos contender a recent event .....

Also this is a general sports before Olympics article . ..It is already 7 pages , took me 10 hrs or so to write it  ..... I can write a full book but it may not be comprehensive

Wish you would not make a disparaging comment .... Please do write a detailed article on table  tennis and I would love to read it

First of all , I expressed appreciation for your review through forum like feature.

I said that the table tennis report didn't cover many important aspects . So not comprehensive.

And I said that the recent domination of Indian girls against the Chinese girls had SIGNIFICANT contribution from the West Bengal girls.

In Asian Game's, Sutirtha-Ayhika defeated Chinese World No. 2 and in February Manika batra defeated Chinese World no. 1.

I never disagreed with Sreeja Akula or Manika Batra's win against the Chinese opponents.

I understand that there is space constraint but that doesn't justify missing important points in a report.

Thank you.

Good day for us in terms of shooting & winning a medal but overall I would say we had a mixed day.

We have lost 2 sports after Day 2  i.e Swimming & Tennis

We are still active in 14 sports.

We started our campaign with 110 athletes in 16 sports ( without alternates)

We have lost 7 athletes today ( 2 Swimming , 2 Shooting & 3 Tennis)

We still have 103 active athletes & have 1 🥉 in our Kitty.
As of Day 2 we are 22nd on the overall Medal table .

India trails 0-1 (HT) against Argentina.

When we're going to learn to score penalties. It has become a perennial problem

Also :IND is playing too much aerial balls with unsuccessful trappings

    • I hope they can kick teqball and convince the North Koreans to play the real deal  (very unlikely, I know(   Obstacle racing on the other hand, it should be a compulsory sport of the ABG

    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
