breaking news from Today

 

in  our major Pay-TV broadcaster (Sky Italia, which already carries the Eurosport 1 and 2 TV channels) and WB Discovery have reached an agreement and therefore the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be covered on our Pay-Tv platform not only by the 2 traditional Eurosport Tv Channels, but also by 7 more HD TV channels and 1 4K TV channel released by Eurosport

 

basically, it's the same coverage that many European broadcasters had in 2021, when instead, in  we didn't have any opportunity to watch, since at that time Sky Italia refused to pay WB Discovery an extra fee and so no picture of the Olympic Games was shown on the Italian version of the Eurosport TV channels 

 

this time, instead, we're not gonna be the black sheep of the Continent

 

of course, this doesn't change the remaining coverage: 360+ hours on 2 different TV channels FTA on our public broadcaster (RAI) and the usual Discovery+ APP for all the connected devices

Is there anywhere that will stream all events of the Olympics? (and I mean all, including archery qualification rounds and such)

 

No VPN and free. Preferably in English, but if it’s in a different language that’s fine too 

 

Just taking a look at CBC Sports, it looks like there’s only one stream for each day  (and worst of all, their streams are always 30 seconds behind real-time)

The whole Eurosport package will move to HBO Max (same thing, different layout), but I fear that won't help you much as a Canadian. That package shows everything that is possible to show. Probably not archery qualifiers, because I believe usually they don't really have any broadcasting feed available at the Olympics, but other than that, basically every single heat, group match or round of 64 match should be there.

 

But again, yeah...probably not for you, sadly. Maybe @Olympian1010 knows about a North American version? To be fair, having all of that for free might be a bit much to ask, it'd only be fair to pay for that insane amount of sports

I remember during Tokyo, there was this Japanese website that streamed everything with Japanese commentary. Nothing like that this time around?

Yep, Archery Ranking Rounds and Shooting Qualifiers (in all events) are the only non-televised events. Everything else will be covered and streamed on MAX. For former Eurosport Player subscribers it will cost thanks to their Redeem Voucher 3.99 EURO/month

Not as far as I know. I remember a Dutch guy on a Dutch forum had a website where he looped lots of streams to, in one website, if he has that again come Olympics time I'll let you know.

Oh, this I didn't know  

 

I'll take a look into that, there have been so many different Eurosport/Eurosport Player subscriptions over the past 7-8 years, I'll have to see if all of them are part of this. At least I do already have HBO Max for movies and series, so that'll just be a matter of going for the sports add-on.
