Apparently :FRA withdrew from Thomas Cup (as usual, weird decision from them) and they will be replaced by :CZE

:NED was the next best European team after :FRA but they did not take the offer.

What do you think about the gray court color? For me it feels funny, like watching badminton with an Instagram filter on

At least it's not giving eye damage like the red courts for WT Finals

At first I thought some problem with my eyes or screen. Yes it looks more like a filter.

It isn't that good but fine. I would love to see yellow, lavender, sky blue, black or light orange to see which goes good.

China's junior player Zhang Zhijie passes away in Indonesia

PETALING JAYA: It was a sad start to the week for the badminton fraternity as promising China shuttler Zhang Zhijie collapsed on the court during a mixed team match at the Asian Junior Championships in Yogyakarta and passed away on Sunday (June 30).

Badminton Asia said in a statement released on Monday that the tragic incident occurred while China was facing Japan in a Group D match on Sunday.

Zhijie collapsed on the court while playing his boys singles match against Kazuma Kawano.

China went on to win the tie 3-2 to advance to the quarter-finals as the Group D champions.
