This weekend we have the  (incorporating ) Championships from Yekatarinburg (where the Commies murdered the Tsar & his family.). Just like in the old Cold War days, will be interesting to compare times & distances.  But unlike the old days, there will be no Zurich for both sides to finally meet.

Hmm standards not high in the first event. Women’s Shot was famously dominated by  back in the early days, but here only one athlete over 17m, and that only good enough for 6th or 7th in Paris.

 nothing to compare, Russians will lose even to Belarussians with very poor results. the only high-profile athlete Kristina Makarenko (11.01 in 100m this year) is injuried
