Kelvin Kiptum died today. What a massive loss

On a more positive note, the Millrose Games were today. 

 

 Chris Nilsen and KC Lightfoot both recorded marks of 5.82m in men’s pole vault, with Nilsen winning on count back. 
 

 Yared Nuguse clocked a time of 3:47.83 to win the men’s mile, while  Elle St Pierre clocked a time of 4:16.41 to win the women’s mile (3rd fastest time in history)

 

In the women’s 60m,  Julien Alfred won in 6.99  while in the men’s 60m  Christian Coleman won in 6.51. 

 

In the men’s 60m hurdles,  Dylan Beard won in 7.54.

 

But perhaps the most impressive performances were from  Devynne Charleton, who broke the WR in the women’s 60m hurdles with a time of 7.67, and  Josh Kerr, who broke the men’s 2 mile WR in 8:00.67!

Also today, at the Kenya Track and Field Meeting,  Ferdinand Omanyala with another PB to take the win in 6.51!

Got a huge glut of good meets this week.  Outdoor Gold meet from Melbourne on Thursday with plenty international names.
