Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026 Tickets, Trips and Experiences

I am headed home now. I throughly enjoyed my time in Milan! The arenas were full and packed with supporters.

 

However, I will say these were not well organized games behind the scenes and left a lot to be desired.

Definitely 10/10 for friendliness in general, but it also feels somewhat chaotic at times.

Another example of the somewhat chaotic organization: mascots are already nearly sold out

 

We thought athletes would get one, but that's not the case. So we tried to find one, even in the Olympic 'village'/accomodation, but after not taking the opportunity on day one (ridiculous prices), we now may have missed out on one...

Literally 100% agree. Speaking from what I saw, food ran out of venues before competition began, long lines for washrooms, lack of signage to direct spectators. The transport situation all around was a shit show, especially at the Opening etc. These are ultimately 'small' but do have an impact on how someone experiences the games.

 

None of these were issues at the 2018 Games fwiw.

If you can try the airport, and the store at Milano Centrale had some a couple days ago.

Anyone have info on how the athletes accomodation/catering was/is?

I just remember the sh*tshow in Paris 2024 (lack of A/C in olympic village -obviously not an issue here LOL- and quality/variety of food)
