wasn´t he the guy whose team didn´t notice the Indonesian from group B and on the last C&J attempt playing for a bronze medal they put a kilo less than they should have on the bar ? :p

I was rooting for Calja for the sake of history, but his coaches decided to decline the offer

Anyway it will be tougher for him in 2024, considering he's competing against younger competitors

Bolivia in men's tennis definitely does not have a "decent shot" at winning a medal, sorry.

Also, Albania got 4th place in men's weightlifting in Tokyo, I'm surprised no one mentioned that for Paris? Or maybe one of the medal winners will get caught doping and the Albanian guy will get promoted to bronze, that honestly might be the most likely first medal for Albania knowing how the sport of weightlifting goes :d

I only really put Bolivia in as I had to take Samoa out who I hadn't realised had won a medal and wanted the list to contain 10. Only now do I realise that Monica Doria of :AND would've been a better and more realistic option.

I am adding a prediction here that I guess (hope) three countries to be on the podium:

1- :MLT could be via shooting skeet men

2- :IVB mainly in 400 hurdles men

3- :AND presumably Canoeing

Don’t see it happening. When has Crooks ever achieved a LCM time worthy of an international medal? He’s more of a short course specialist.

Yes, this was definitely the boldest of the one's I listed.

But this year, he was 6th in the 50m freestyle (21.73) and 7th in the 100m freestyle (47.94) which was his breakout long course meet and he's still 21. With another year of long course training, he has a chance. Probably not a great chance but it's still possible.

50m at the olympics produces some surprising results sometimes, but this really seems too much of a long shot.
