New Titanic will sail from Dubai in 2022

A faithful replica of the RMS Titanic will undergo a two-week maiden voyage from Dubai when it sets sail in 2022.

After that, it will begin regular trips along the original Titanic's planned route between Southampton and New York City. The vessel - so named the 'Titanic II' - will be owned and operated by Blue Star Line.

According to the brand's chairman, Clive Palmer, the project is slightly delayed. But the maiden voyage will still include Dubai. "We're still going to cruise from Dubai," Palmer admitted to Cruise Arabia & Africa.

“After a shakedown cruise from the shipyard to Singapore, we’ll offer a two-week maiden voyage to Dubai, with another grand voyage from Dubai to Southampton.”

The launch date is of particular note, as 2022 will mark exactly 110-years since the original Titanic hit an iceberg and sank into the Atlantic. According to Palmer, everything (except its fate, hopefully) is going to be faithfully recreated.

“Blue Star Line will create an authentic Titanic experience, providing passengers with a ship that has the same interiors and cabin layout as the original vessel, while integrating modern safety procedures, navigation methods and 21st-century technology to produce the highest levels of luxurious comfort,” Palmer added.

How will the Titanic II get around the same icebergs that sank the last one? It's going to avoid them entirely. The new vessel will only travel between New York and Southampton over the summer. During the colder months, it will take punters on round-the-world excursions instead.

According to the original plans, the ship will accommodate 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members (the original Titanic held 1,400 passengers and 900 crew).

    • I have reported this again and they said it should be fixed now, please let me know if you are still facing issues.
    • more countries added to the list of US ban    you can't travel to USA if you are from : burkina faso , niger , Laos , South sudan , mali , sierra leon ...
    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
