tbh, they just gave up on everything...

 

super-short season, prorated play (which means only about one third of their salary at max) and all those technical things they wanted to fight against (especially the 3-hitter rule for pitchers and they even accepted the universal DH, which is pure sacrilege to me)...

 

the owners won under any aspects of the deal...:facepalm:

I imagine something like a single flat fee for all three segments - ie pre-, regular- & post-season.  Anything else would be too complicated.  Maybe a seperate post-season deal at the end of September.  Say €40-50 for the lot?
