@phelps How do you feel about men's epee now that your opponents for the Top4 are :EGY  :CZE  :UZB:d

I'm really afraid of what might happen vs :EGY

we're not safe vs anybody (despite Di Veroli, but considering that Cimini is in and Cuomo is not even among the reserves)

Yeah, Italy will have to overtake the US or Korea for Germany to qualify. It will be very important for Germany that the loser of :KOR v :USA will also lose the 3rd medal against :FRA or :HUN

:USA  loosing in the semi-finals is not good for :GER and :ITA.

In the best case (USA 4th and Italy 5th place), USA will be 36 points ahead of Italy.

That's nearly impossible to loose in the regular WC.

USA are not a problem...

the big question is being the best European Nation outside the top 4, which means that only the direct matchup between :ITA and :GER now counts

we can let :KOR:FRA:HUN:USA go...and even the other Asian teams...it will go down to the last event of the OQP between those 2

That's what I meant.

USA loosing would have opened a way for Italy or Germany to overtake USA and reach Top4.

So Italy and Germany will both end outside of Top4 and one of them will miss Paris (I fear that it will be Germany )

:ITA struggled a lot vs :JPN in the men's team sabre, but finally they won 45-42 and will play for the 5th place later Today

against Germany...not sure what I want...

Italian win so they have a minor chance to reach Top4 (instead of Korea/USA) or German win would reduce the distance to overtake Italy...
