:TUR Turkey and :JOR Jordan dominating the field among the cadets in the Kumite events...

and behind them, very widely spread range of medallists, coming from all over the world, confirming once again the universality and great participation of the sport of Karate...

but better have at the Olympics "things" like breakdancing, BMX freestyle, 3x3 basketball and so on...:pope:

Dominik Dziuda is another great talent from Maciej Gałowski's stable. If the boy doesn't mess up his mind, in a few years he will be the second world champion in karate, who trained at Olimp Lodz. Doraw Banaszczyk is the only hope to show his skills at tatami in Tokyo. Gawłowski knows his training.

What does not suit you in these sports? Breakdance is also a very controversial topic for me to join him in the Olympic family.

I already wrote many very long pamphletes against all the "judged sports" at the Olympics...

but in some cases, like Artistic Swimming, Rhythmic Gymnastics, those freestyle freaks and above all breakdance, to me they are just NOT sports at all...they are just entertaining shows which have nothing to do with real competition (which to me it's almost only man vs man or man vs time)...

Olympic Motto is "Altius, Citius, Fortius"...and those activities don't match any of these criteria to elect their "champions", therefore they shouldn't even be recognized as true sports by the IOC...

that's my point of view about this question (to make it short...don't want to get anybody "bored to death")...

obviously, I don't expect everybody to agree with me, but at the same time, it would take a miracle to make me change my mind on that...

I'm not somehow especially convinced of these sports like synchronized swimming, it has an artistic charm, but it has no future since even no TV (at least in Poland until the current championships) shows their world cup or world championships. I will say more due to the fact that I'm a devil on niche sports turns me when, for example, there were recently the Polish championships in trampoline jumping, and in the largest Polish SPORT newspaper (Przegląd Sportowy) there was no mention of the results of this event. I do not demand a relationship, but let them at least write the results from the Polish Press Agency (PAP).

t is equally strange for me that athletes under the age of 18 start at the games. Of course, he does not discriminate against any talent here and there is no one specifically in mind. However, I would make it clear that a player who has reached the senior age can represent his country. After entering the skatebording program, or are we talking about disciplines where gymnastic fitness is required (synchronic swimming, etc.), and we also hear more and more loudly about the entry of breakdancing, this boundary will be strongly shaken. The fact that in dance or skateboard etc. for physical fitness over the age of 25, but for me sick that 11-year-old or someone of a similar age would win the Olympic medal.

In a moment someone will say that competitors in the middle or advanced age start in horse riding or shooting. However, the division into seniors, juniors and juniors is used for a reason. Yes, I see it and I know that these are very controversial theses, but this is my opinion and I am ready for dialogue on your part.

Iran is not participating at all

no money to send a full team the other side of world ! our federation is spending all they have on the senior team and Karate-1 competitions for the Olympic quotas. and Chile is really far, they didn't send a team to Serie A event in Chile as well.

    • The NFL are pushing had to develop flag football in Australia in hopes of getting it included in 2032. I hope they fail tbh.   Single gender sports fail the gender equality requirement so netball is out unless they can rapidly fix their gender problem. World Netball not so long ago was refusing utterly to sanction men's international netball or even support the growth of men's netball so they kind of sabotaged themselves and are only changing courses out of self interest because Brisbane was awarded the Olympics.   It doesn't even make sense to propose Aussie rules given how poor the participation is outside of Australia.
    • - Great Britain Team Size Prediction for Winter Olympic Games 2026 Milano Cortina   Ski Sports   Alpine Skiing  (4) - The qualification system is a bit confusing, but from what I gather the team is Guaranteed 2 quotas (one for each gender), and then more are given for rankings. I can only see 1 female qualifying, but the men's team is a bit stronger, and could improve with some juniors coming through. I would say a baseline of 3, with a max of 5, 6 if things really improve.  Cross Country Skiing  (3) - The men's team came 11th in the world cup last year, and with some good results could move up to top 10 which would give 3 quotas, The women's team is non existant.  Ski Jumping  (0) - Nope Nordic Combined  (0) - Nope Freestyle Skiing  (6) - Based on last year rankings, the athletes are ranked: M Moguls (26/30), M Ski Cross (26/32), M Halfpipe (33/25), M Slopestyle (39+40/30) W Moguls (23+42/30), W Halfpipe (3/25), W Big Air (5/30), W Slopestyle (19+22/30)  Barring Injury , thats 2 quotas on the women's side, and I would predict 4 more, with a max team of 7 or 8. Snowboarding  (2) - W Halfpipe (34/25) is the only unknown quota, as both Charlotte Bankes and Mia Brookes should qualify easily. Huw Nightlingale may get a spot for the Mixed Team snowboard cross but I don't know how it works. Biathlon  (0) - Nope Ski Mountaineering  (0) - Nope     Skating Sports   Speed Skating  (2) - Cornelius Kersten and Elia Smelding should qualify, although they both haven't competed this year. Short Track Speed Skating  (2) - A team of 5 went to the world but only a couple could really qualify Figure Skating  (4) - Fear and Gibson should qualify, and the pair team is ranked 16th in the world with 19 qualifiers.      Sleigh Sports   Luge  (0) - Nope Skeleton  (6) - A full team is certainly on the cards, but with only ranking points from the next season counting a lot could change Bobsleigh  (6) - Brad Hall and Co should qualify for both 2 and 4 man. I doubt any more will qualify from the mens side. Adele Nicholl on the womens should also qualify in both events     Team Sports   Curling  (12) - Anything but a full team would be a dissapointment Ice Hockey  (0) - The men were the only chance       Total Optimistic Prediction  -  (60) Total Pessimistic Prediction  - (32)   Total Realistic Prediction  -  (47)

    • North American rugby quotas ( and qualified automatically)    M: and W: and
    • I remember Caroline Golubitsky. She competed with Vezzali for a while but not for long. Rita Konig, whom Vezzali defeated in the final of the Olympic Games in 2000, was more famous, as well as Sabine Bau and Anja Mueller. From what I remember, the Germans competed fiercely with us at some point, but they almost always lost.
