Hang on, it is Sprint - Relay - Mass Start this week, so I think this is going to be a throwaway day for Weirer.

Only if she finishes 22nd or worse ;) Otherwise the result will count for the overall.

Has just gone 1-2, so the coaches will be telling her to take it easy! :mumble:

Yeah, this could be a result that won't count for Wierer's overall points.

:SVK Ivona Fialkova 4/10. Sigh. The WCh form is gone.

:BUL Milena Todorova 10/10 so the WCh form in still there.

Bescond  I hope it will be enough for a podium. We can really only count on her lately.

Edit: yes, 2nd place for Anaïs!

Well, the Lithuanian women look the most alive that they've been all year.

If Natalija didn't mess up in the standing shoot, a PB was waiting for her, but she missed two and really a shame for that second one, because she took her time to miss the final target.

On the other hand, it is the second best career result for Gabrielė Leščinskaitė in 58th place. She has been really struggling since her junior days and she is slowly getting back to an upwards trajectory in her results.

I noticed Kocergina was "only" 27 secs behind Herrmann after the first shoot. If she shot 10/10 she'd probably finish around Todorova so a Top 20 result!

Yup, she would have landed somewhere between Yurlova and Hauser. With this performance, I'm very eager to see the men's sprint and hoping that the fellas won't let me down.

Vytautas is a much stronger bet than Kočergina if he shoots clear, Kaukėnas is finally starting to look alive, the only question mark is Dombrovski now whom looked rather dead in the European Championships and decided not to start after the super sprint, so it's not certain if he recovered in the short period of time.

    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
    • It's the olympics, sleep is for the weak!    The first day i got there i was on a 12 hour flight from l.a to rome (flight that left mid day), lay over, another flight to milan, uber to hotel, then right away to speed skating (1500m men), then after uber to hockey venue for women's gold final, then after the celebrations uber to the hotel, i ended up being awake about 36 hours that day, the next morning i thought to go sightseeing in the center of milan, but ended up sleeping until like 2pm..... and had speed skating/short track that night
    • I tried to get onto the metro multiple times and gave up    I had just arrived the day of from Bangkok (12 hr flight) and was just exhausted and wanted to sleep
    • Plus, you missed out on a potential metro ride with me, which is quite priceless in my opinion
    • My hotel was very close to Rho so was easy to get there, but it was so far from the hockey venue that after the women's gold medal match it was so expensive to get back, and also the next day after the usa slovakia semis it took forever, the asshole driver took the city and not the freeway
    • Uber cost me $224 CAD to get back to the hotel from the OC. It basically prevented me from buying tickets to a speed skating session

Unbelievable how the life can have such turns...in March 26th he was in Istanbul playing the WC qualifying play-off vs Turkiye and now he died.    Thank you very much for every moments you bring us in your huge career (he's on 3rd place in a most trophies won in career, after Ferguson and Guardiola) and may your soul rest in peace, Mr. Lucescu.
