:ARM outperforming everyone by a mile... It's such a massive and sudden improvement on Aremnian medal count in comparison to previous editions that gives me doubts if everything is clean as it's weightlifting after all......

how could it be clean, if there are still scores better than the old proven doped records? (and if the usual suspects are still way ahead of the rest of the field, even after coming back from years of suspension?)

I just can't believe that basically no Western European country (with some exception from this lucky generation of Italy) can develop a single weightlifter capable of medalling at least at Continental level on the male side (among the women at least we have also some French and British girls doing well).

and despite that, it still remains a fascinating sport with quite a good number of very exciting competitions...:mumble: :dunno:

:AZE have withdrawn from the competition due to safety concerns.

I just watched the replay of men's 109kg + category and was so confused when the commentators spoke how good these championships was, apart form the opening. And they didn't explain more on the subject. That being said Lasha reigns supreme for the 7th time in a row! Very good from the spectators too who cheered him on despite his main rival being Armenian.
