If MQS is confirmed, then Tunisia stands to have a male shooter for the first time since Rome 1960.

He scored 574 in qualification which is above MQS

Brilliant shooting..... . A great achievement..... To cross 250 itself is huge

OQ continues today with women's 10 m air pistol.

And a rapid fire... or is it just start with quotas to be distributed tomorrow (at least that's what I noted out of SIUS yesterday).

I imagine it's a two-day event like the women's 25 m pistol. Despite the limited pool of athletes.

Men's 25 m RFP after day 1...

:EGY Mahmoud Taha - 278

:EGY Ahmed Shaban - 272

:ALG Tayeb Mehali - 255

Seeing how MQS stands at 560, everyone is behind the required pace after the opening day... Only Taha stands a chance, but he will have to improve tomorrow...

    • It's hard to believe it was still in this calendar year
    • In last year, we were were happy with Brignone's wins, and today we're excite that della Mea is in the top 10... It's hard to imagine a bigger fall... And Goggia should give up on the giant slalom and focus on the speed events – Vonn isn't wasting time on the giant slalom, but is training for downhill and SG. Goggia last one finished on the podium in the giant slalom in march 2018, and she has no any chance of winning an Olympic medal at the regular competition. It's a waste of time and energy to finish 8th or 9th and risk injury. And we have to accept that without Brignone, we have no chance of winning a medal in the giant slalom in Cortina, and that's it.
    • yeah, just like Anna Trocker earlier Today   I think this is the best way to blow them    they're not ready for the world cup stage yet, but we're so bad right now that our coaches are digging deep
    • Some surprises and fun results so far at this year's Worlds. Like a few minutes ago, when  Harrysson made the 1/8 with another very good performance. Now he plays Jonny Clayton, who this afternoon made a stellar performance in a tough battle with Zonneveld. I don't see an easy match for Clayton, even though on paper he would have wished such an opponent for a 1/8 before the tournament.   Also i'm delighted that my fav Gary Anderson seems to be in good form, though at his age, he is prone to sudden bad matches at any time.
