Poll #50

FIFTY!!!

Happy Anniversary for all the Voters!

Poll #50 already

but rules stay the same:

These are olympic champions (or olympic medalists) in certain events.

Imagine that all these champions are on the top of their game at the very same moment in time.

Who would have won gold/bronze?

Boxing, women's Flyweight...for Gold, it's a no brainer, even if it comes from a biased/corrupted bunch of judges & officials.

however, :GBR Nicola Adams is definitely better than the Bulgarian and therefore she's my pick.

for Bronze, :TUR Cakiroglu is my pick, but I don't think there's much difference between all of the girls involved, they're just a bunch of average fighters.

Fencing, women's Team Sabre...one of the easiest picks ever, :RUS Russia is way ahead of the rest of the field.

for Bronze, :FRA France are definitely the best remaining team (actually, they're better than :UKR too, as the Ukranians can only rely on the "monster" named Olga Kharlan plus a group of average specialists).

Diving, men's Synchronized 3m Springboard...not even to asked...:CHN China is just on another planet.

I voted for Great Britain for the diving because I know that China will win, as they are undoubtedly the best, but I think Great Britain should have silver.

I do it the same way in these polls sometimes as well.

Boxing - Women's Flyweight :GBR Adams as a double winner with :CHN Ren as my bronze winner

Fencing, women's Team Sabre - Same choices as Phelps :RUS gold and :FRA bronze

Diving - Men's 3m Synchronized Springboard - Obviously :CHN  with Britain second. Greece, on the other hand, were the Stephen Bradbury of the Summer  Games. All the good teams made stupid mistakes, all the average teams were underscored and the Greeks overscored because of the home crowd

    • I hope they can kick teqball and convince the North Koreans to play the real deal  (very unlikely, I know(   Obstacle racing on the other hand, it should be a compulsory sport of the ABG

    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
