CONCACAF Champions League 2015-2016

Winners

Club America secured its second straight  CONCACAF Champions League title, earning a 2-1 win over Tigres in the second leg of the final at the Estadio Azteca (4-1 aggregate).

With the triumph, Club America booked a place in the FIFA Club World Cup 2016, broke the record for most CONCACAF club titles with seven and equaled Monterrey for the longest unbeaten streak in tournament history at 13 games.

I don't think that's the reason. The coach already didn't call him for the last qualifiers, I think he just doesn't like him.
