you're right

my bad, but I just don't follow paralympic sport and their events basically don't exist for me :dunno:

Sailing hasn't been part of the Paralympics itself since 2016.

I expected Brazil, Australia and New Zealand to do better, but obviously it can still change. 8 quote places would be great for Germany. Quite telling that Germany (right now) would qualify in all events except men's/women's skiff, obviously that is their weak spot.

The top three almost in home waters - literally so in the case of the Dutch.

d) Men's Kite

e) Women's Kite

f) Men's Windurfing

Seven of the ten events. The others are the men's and women's skiffs (49er & 49erFX) and the mixed multihull (Nacra17).

And finally today's bit of useless information. The first woman to win a gold medal at the OG was in sailing in 1900 in an early example of a "mixed event".

I believe the image is of her in her sailing kit.

what time does sailing start today

My prediction is: not at all. No wind in Scheveningen at the moment (I live nearby).

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
