well, NO :RUS and :CHN and a 2nd tier :USA team means a really depleted field, even if most of the remaining top shooters are in Egypt...;)

moreover, nowadays the World Cup is no longer so important to the shooters since there are no direct Olympic Quota Places up for grabs anymore...it's basically become a competitive training rather than a primary target.

No description available.

Unfortunately he misses medal matches , but it has been a very while since anyone made it to Rifle or Pistol WC Final from Egypt and in 25m Rapid fire pistol , this tournament proved that some guys from Egypt deserve to participate globally and gain more experience , they're much better than very standard shootgun shooters that always travel abroad except for Azmy Mehelba ofc

  • 2 weeks later...

and now something you do not see often.

A current IOC member broke the world record in a Olympic event :d

Danka Barteková qualified to the final in Qatar with a perfect 125 score in the W Skeet qualifiers, which is the new and absolute possible WR. The previous one (also registered in Dauha) was set by :CHN Wei Meng 124 in the Asian Champs in 2019

    • It's waaaay too expensive & inconvenient. Basically WOG minus the bobsleigh track & indoor arena for figure skating/hockey(which is the easy part of Olympic bid). Just won't happen anytime soon. Winter sports are too facility dependant and the entire alpine skiing requires a separate venue.

    • The Technical director of the Dutch Olympic Committee has, using his discretionary powers, decided to include them in the team. He cites “extra-ordinary circumstances”, but has not stated what they are. The use of these powers is quite rare. They were used in 2022 to nominate an alpine-skier.
