All 12 wrestlers have a medal. Extreme improvement in Table Tennis. Somehow we do not win at the Asian and World level.

First time India won medals in all wrestling categories that were in the CWG

We have never had a women player of the class of Manika .... but she still is ranked only in the 50s in the world  .......but the way she has played in CWG .. there is a huge improvement...If she pushes up her ranking she has a chance to go to top 20 and then and only then can we see any medals in the asian games .............. also the asian games level is more or less the same as the world level ....possibly stronger ...............

But in this commonwealth games we have had possible world beaters .......

the badminton team is truly world class ... the best they have been in any commonwealth games according to me ..... Already in singles we are the best in the world ...... if the doubles pairs improves than we can become a world power like china or indonesia...... I have high hopes of mens doubles ( chirag and satwik )  they are 17 and 20 very young they can easily become a top 10 team possibly in 1-2 years .....

The wrestling team still may struggel .. the only world class players are sushil , bajrang and vinesh ..... we need a couple of others to be of that class to really think of world medals ....

I also loved the weightlifting team ...... Mirakhom is a world champion and she is coming into her own,  Sanjita needs to improve around 10 kgs to be world medal range ....The other weightlifters like deepak lather , Rahul are all in 16-20 in age .. if they improve really well we can have a world class weightlifting team besides Mirakhom

And what about the shooting ... In jitu and heena we had a world class shooters already but anish at 15 was indias youngest CWG gold medallist ever I think ...... Manu Bhakker is amazing she has it in her to dominate the world and she is only 16 , Mahuli is 17 ..... and I personally feel we did not get some of best shooters here . Bubuta , akash sheoran and shivar raza , vallikal were not here .. this squad can win multiple medals and I am hoping to see what they do in the world champs ......

Manika currently ranked 58th in the world, and 37th in Asia... Asia is too good. But the rankings aren't always accurate, Mo Zhang (Canada) is rank 26 atm and I wouldn't put her near that high

I agree ...... But still I feel she should continue this level of play and move up towards the top 20 .... then she can be considered truly world class

    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
    • On the Olympics I don't like to count golds to analyse the performance, I think the best data are the top8 and medals. In both fields I expect a big improvement (obviously not on the 'pure' number, but on the percentage of medal or top8 events)
