I wonder where the Olympic Channel get the table tennis commentator... I know Chinese name is hard to pronounce but when you read "Xiao Yao" but pronounced it as "Zhyao Hyao" that is amazingly dumb.

There is no way "X" can be pronounced as "Zh", I believe

That's how I've heard almost every commentator pronounce it and how I pronounce it in my mind  

 

When a Chinese friend sent me a message to show the pronounciation of 'xie xie', I heard it as 'zhie zhie' (well, not really an 'ie' sound but definitely zh)

Kukuľková lost to Sarah De Nutte from Luxembourg 3-4 in Table Tennis 2nd round. she was leading 6-2 in the last set but still managed to follow our ambitious but rubbish performances from the start of this games

Well, that's a sad way to lose, but De Nutte is not a bad player at all.

Still, De Nutte has been a training partner of Ni Xialian for a long time. She must have learned something.
