USA gets the Paralympic quota. Canada, Brazil and Colombia will have another chance at the 2024 Qualification Tournament (Canada is the favourite).

Nice to see Brazil winning its first ever Parapan American Games medal after losing many times to Colombia.

It wouldn't be a para* multi-sport game if there wasn't a marriage proposal :p

I swear the adaptive sports have been a hot bed from proposals at multi-sports games. There was one in table tennis earlier this week too.

WR #6 Canada qualify for the Paralympics. WR #3 Brazil, and WR #5 United States both miss out, as this was the final qualification opportunity for the Pan Americas.

Surprising since :USA is the current Paralympics silver medalist. Blame it on IBSA for reducing team quotas from 10 to 8 to allow for more categories in Judo.

Actually, IPC uniformly capped all team sports at 8 teams for Paris 2024. The IPC also pushed for more events that cater to athletes with more severe impairment.

4th Para Pan Ams title in a row for Brazil! As Brazil has already qualified for the Paralympics through an earlier event, the quota went to United States as the next highest ranked team.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.

    • option no.2 for sure, as it's been all this shitstorm organized by the nhl owners through their embedded reporters   ps not that the north american audience looks really aware of the hockey rules and habits outside the nhl (and around their game, too, since they look not to know that just a couple of weeks ago they played 2 nhl matches on an ice sheet of the exact same size of Milan's olympic arena)
    • Are we supposed to take Daly's word for it or is this just public posturing to try and shame the Milan organizers (which they certainly deserve for all the delays) in order to threaten NHL participation?
