Start list for the dressage inspection.

 

Looks like there are several changes. Argentina and Chile are down to teams of 3. Mexico had to call up their reserve. Guatemala apparently no longer has a team. Brazil still hasn't picked four from five they brought to Lima.

 

Overall, the quality of the competition will be much lower compared to Toronto 2015. Pitty.

Uruguay has an interesting couple of individuals in dressage... They have Jose Beca, who can easily be Agustina Bravo's grandfather. He was born in 1953, she in 2000.

Looks like Peru and Colombia lost a team member, so they are left with teams of 3... Only will field the full teams...

 

Big tour combinations will be as follows:

Leandro da Silva (Dicaprio)

Pedro de Almeida (Aoleo)

Jill Irving (Degas)

Naima Moreira-Laliberte (Statesman)

Yvonne Losos de Muniz (Aquamarijn)

Martha del Valle (Beduino LAM)

Bernadette Pujals (Curioso XXV)

Jose Beca (Zaire)

 

They will start at the end of the program, and each will receive 1.5% bonus, but only for the team competition. IMO, they should get an even bigger bonus, which should also count for individual portion, but alright.

 

Competition should be quite open. I'm hoping to see Losos de Muniz on the individual podium.

It's very close between Canada/USA for gold, and Brazil/Mexico for bronze. But at this moment I'd pick gold for Canada and bronze for Brazil.
