Or you could do a 9 host's contest to select the 8 that would qualify for the main competition (quarter-finals)

for the candidates in the right you will start the votes at 1:00 morning or what , no one will be online

imagine if one of you won the host and after few months he announces that  he withdraws , will we organise another draw or what ??!!!

Since there are 9 nations one possible preliminary system would have 3 rounds with 3 participants each (only winner or two winners advance to final).

 

The other possibility is having:

Preliminary round (MEX vs SRB) - winner advances

Semifinal round (2 groups of 4) -  2 from each advance

Super final (4 participants) - winner gets the ticket

This idea is much better, trying to organise any game that needs 9 members from across the globe present at one time would be difficult

I actually like this idea very much! It is far more easier to organize a game like before with 4 participants

That's right. Plus, having multiple stages allows the bidding to be spread over few days/few weeks instead of having one busy day.

 

However, let's see what our gameshow presenter OlympicIRL thinks about all these ideas.
