Obviously she's not, just in case anyone would take it serious.

Thank god that won't happen, would be the last nail in athletic's coffin. I think she could become 5th all-time (needs to run 48.58 or faster for that) and she should definitely become the fastest woman this century (has to run 48.69 or faster for that).

Hassan and Klosterhalfen :d This was nice.

Really disappointed that Klosterhalfen couldn't break the german national record. I think this again shows that she should focus on the 5000 m in Doha and the 5000 m/10000 m double in Tokyo. She just doesn't have the speed to beat Hassan, Houlihan, Kipyegon or Muir.

When was the last time that the american women didn't win a medal in the 100 m, 200 m or 400 m?

Just looked it up: Never happened before at world championships.

Does anyone see the US winning a medal in those events in Doha?

But if she doesn't have the speed to beat Hassan, why should she focus on the exact events Hassan says she'll focus on?

But 8.65. Wow.

Into a headwind ...

I think i already said it 2 years ago: He will break the world record some day. Give him 2 m/s tailwind, and we might be looking at 9 m or more.

Don't see an American with a serious medal chance at the moment, but also I've learned through the years it's just plain dumb to count out American sprinters beforehand :p Even in their weakest moments

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.

    • Have you already started looking for the hundreds of commemorative 2 euro coins? There are loads of them, including sports-themed ones.
    • Don't know if someone else is collecting Euro coins, but since we joined the zone it's been fun looking at what you can get.    It took only 2 months, but today i finally got my first Slovakian coin.  @hckošice
