Work in progress. I gather the teams were filled in a random order so I used this same order to distribute nations to their phases. Swaps were made (for the next nation in order) in cases where nations were assigned to the phase during which they are set to vote.

Per @Olympian1010 suggestion:

1st - 50 pts

2nd - 45

3rd - 40

4th - 35

5th - 30

6th - 25

7th - 20

8th - 15

9th - 10

10th - 5

DNF - 0

Still no idea what to do with Spain in Prague... Bonus 10 points for the Prague Stags whenever "Spain 12" happens? :d

We have made it to the end of our countdown of the TISC Open Top 40 and we have reached the top of the charts. Zombie by The Cranberries gave Ireland their first win in TISC when they were crowned the 2014 TISC Open champions. On their way to victory, Zombie picked up the top mark from 12 national juries, scored from 34 of 40 of the competing juries, racking up 333 points and is still to date the only entry to have exceeded the 300 points barrier. Sadly, lead singer Dolores O'Riordan has since passed but her legacy in TISC will never be forgotten.....

TOTAL

So looks we are going with this.

Scratch Race (Votes 1-10): Teams are rewarded for total points accumulated by randomly selected representative (different nation for each leg) during this leg. Omnium points are then awarded based on the ranking. 1st Place = 50 points, 2nd Place = 45 points, 3rd Place = 40 points, 4th Place = 35 points, and so on by decreasing intervals of five points.

Tempo Race (Votes 11-20): Teams are rewarded for the amount of times they are awarded points by national juries. The amount points does not matter*, only the total number of juries that give the randomly selected representative points over this leg. A perfect leg would see a team’s representative earn the points from all 10 juries for example. A ranking will be created based on frequency of scoring. Omnium points are then awarded based on that ranking. 1st Place = 50 points, 2nd Place = 45 points, 3rd Place = 40 points, 4th Place = 35 points, and so on by decreasing intervals of five points.
*= Since there’s a heightened possibility of ties in this leg, points would be used as the tiebreaker. First tiebreaker would be number of 12 points awarded to each team. Second, would be the number of 11 points awarded to each team, and so on until we get to the number 1 points awarded to each team.

Elimination Race (Votes 21-30): Teams are rewarded for the running total points accumulated by randomly selected representative over this leg. The first elimination would occur after the third jury vote in this leg. At that point, the representative with the lowest total leg score would be eliminated and finish the leg in 10th place. An elimination would then take place after each subsequent jury vote. There would only be threerepresentatives left at the end of leg, at which point the representative with the highest total points would be awarded victory. Omnium points would then be awarded based off the final ranking, 1st Place = 50 points, 2nd Place = 45 points, 3rd Place = 40 points, 4th Place = 35 points, and so on by decreasing intervals of five points.

*= In case there are multiple teams with no points after the third leg, those teams are all eliminated at that point (with subsequent eliminations being delayed until the number of remaining competitors catches up to the original formula), with the tiebreaker being total points at the end of the leg.

Points Race (Votes 31-41): Teams are given the total amount of points earned by their randomly selected representative over this stage. The points earned by that representative are then added to the team’s Omnium total for their final score.

Spain 12 - As an odd member out in the only 5-member team - the Prague Stags - Spain will have a special role. Any time (if any) they are awarded 12 points, the Prague Stags will be assigned 12 bonus points, in the true spirit of "Spain 12".

Final rankings are determined by the total points earned by each team after the four legs. In case of a tie in the final points tally, the team which attained more points during the Points Race will be placed ahead. Any further ties, if applicable, will be broken by the number of 1st places achieved in total during the first three phases (Scratch, Tempo, Elimination), followed by the number of 2nd places and so on until the tie is resolved.

May the best team win. :hatoff:
