men's All-Round (Provisional Ranking after 3/4 Events)

Gold: :KOR Chung Jae-Won, 109.383 pts
Silver: :RUS Sergei Loginov, 109.891 pts (+ 5.08 secs in the final 5000m)
Bronze: :RUS Stepan Chistiakov, 110.486 pts (+ 11.03 secs in the final 5000m)
4th Place: :ITA Francesco Betti, 110.813 pts (+ 14.30 secs in the final 5000m

Final Ranking:
https://app.isuresults.eu/events/2019_ITA_0002/standings/ALLROUND_MEN

:KOR Chung Jae-Won has basically won the title, since he has already a big margin over his immediate followers and he also has the best PB by far in the entire starting field.
:ITA Francesco Betti is currently 4th, but he has very good chances to climb up the ranking up to the Silver medal, since his PB over 5000m is around 24 seconds better than Loginov's (and the 2nd overall among today's starters).
:RUS Chistiakov has a PB over 5000m just over 2 seconds slower than his teammate Loginov, therefore he should end up outside the medals.
Based on PBs only, there's no chance for any other athlete to dream of a podium finish (maybe :AUT Gabriel Odor has a remote chance to reach the 4th place overall, but the medals look too far ahead).

Nice gold for Germany, although men's 5000 m and women's 3000 m were the least competitive events here. I am very disappointed by Stirnemann, she didn't fulfill her potential this time, hopefully she will do better next year.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

I believe this is a YOG qualifier, but I could be mistaken

no, you're right...;)

these champs and the 2019 junior world cup are the 2 qualifying events for the 2020 YOG...

in particular, the NOCs represented among the top 6 of the single distance races over 500m and 1500m in these champs earn a quota place (and if there are more than 1 athlete of a Country among the top 6 of these races, their NOC earn an additional quota place)...

    • poir Madsen had a very unlucky debut at the CWC he seriously injured himself (dislocated shoulder and possible concussion) in an attempt to save a boundary in the very early stages of Today' match vs Scotland   moreover, Italy lost badly against the Scots, allowing them to score 207 runs in the 1st innings (it took 14 overs to get the 1st wicket) and going well short chasing that score (we immediately saw that today wasn't the day when our lead batsman went out at the very 1st ball thanks to an amazing but improbable catch by a Scottish fielder)   in all this, a couple of highlights to be recorded: Hasan Ali with a very efficient bowling performance (5.25 economy, 1 wicket) and Harry Manenti with good 52 runs in just over 30 balls with the bat
    • The Italian team has already achieved a better result than the Chinese team in 2022 at home. The Italian team has made enormous progress since 2023, when we were still losing to Korea and Poland. Of course, this is mainly due to naturalizations, but China did the same. It's one of the few sports that have made significant progress before these Olympics and this is how it should be in most disciplines at home games.
    • change with given the WBC rosters    ps you forgot (I'd put them at no.5, however)
