All nations now have one athlete remaining. and wins if they finish first though they have chances to win if they finish second or third. For or to win, they must finish first and must finish third or worse. Likewise for to win, they must finish first and must finish fourth or worse and must finish third or worse.

The Olympic quota is relatively simple. will win the quota should they finish first. For they not only need to finish first, but also hope doesn't finish second or else they will get the quota.

Overall, has many options to win the quota. If they finish 1st or 2nd they will qualify or if wins, they automatically qualify. The only way or qualifies would be if they win and finishes 3rd or 4th. has no chance for the Olympic quota.

Curiosity, Japan was the only country that had to change their surfers due to results in last qualifier stage to Tokyo. I believe that Shun Murakami should be very happy with this extra quota.
