Update: Katerine Savard has confirmed on Instagram that she won’t swim the final and that the relay will be Oleksiak, McIntosh, Sanchez, and Smith.

They need drop 7.17 seconds to beat the national record. Pickrem was 1:59.82 and Oleksiak was 1:54.7 yesterday from a flat start so that's over 5 seconds right there. 

 

It'll be interesting see what subs China does - they didnt do any for the 4x100m.

In the same Instagram story Savard said she would be swimming the prelims of the mixed medley in the fly.

Margaret Macneil was born in China and was adopted by a Canadian couple due to China's one child policy. Margaret won gold medal in Women's butterfly 100 m swimming beating Chinese competitor Zhang Yufei by 0.05 second. What a story!

There’s not exactly been a lot of rowing competitions in rowing over the past year and a half for reasons.
