:SWE Frida Westman will not take part in World Championships due to extended recovery from the kneecap injury :(

She has to sort out her landing technique since I believe that is the main reason why she had knee issues again.

  • 3 weeks later...

Raw Air starts on Saturday. All eyes will be on next weekend in Vikersund where women will officially participate in ski flying competition for the first time in World Cup history alas only Top 15 from the Raw Air standings and only those who are 18+ years old.

It's not the first time women will jump on ski flying hill. The unofficial record jump comes from Kulm 2003 by Daniela Iraschko (200m). Anette Sagen, Lindsay Van and Eva Ganster also participated as trial jumpers in Vikersund in 2004 but distances were ca. 170-175 meters.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
