Figure Skating ISU European Championships 2019

Recommended Posts

Samodurova wins thanks to a clean skate. But, dear Lord, that was one incredibly childlish program.

It turns out that Zagitova under rotated 3 jumps and downgraded 1, according to the judges scorecard.

Is this Fernandez's last season? I thought he would retire after 2018? :mumble:

For comparison Kurakova scored 178.80 winning the Four Nations in December so she'd have a shot at Top 5 here. Okay, looking forward to next year ;)

This was his last competition period. He won't be attending the Worlds.

Hmm? Did he want to equal someone's record? It's not like Madrid hosted this event...

He probably wanted to take 7th straight gold, but it's not a record. Karl Schafer won 8 straight golds through 1936. :p

Too bad he won't continue through Beijing (as it stands). 2022 Europeans would be perfect opportunity to complete decima...

Natalia Kaliszek/Maksym Spodyriev finished 5th which is the best  :POL result in ice dance in EC history. Previous best was 7th twice, 1976 & 2000 (the latter by their current coach Sylwia Nowak).
