The thing is they are not playin so bad from the matches I watched so far, really. But it looks like they just can´t afford to stay out of the penalty box for a second, and what is even worse because of incredibly stupid fouls (delaying the game or too many mens on ice) if they´ll find a way how to fix their discipline they are definitely able to be competitive in 5vs5 game with even better teams..but yep against top division nations it´s clearly still a long shot for China, I don´t see them winning any point during their home Olympics.

*Australia, Serbia and Croatia are still in fight for the Gold medal and promotion to the Men´s Division I Group B next year.

**AUS - will qualify if they win over Croatia (It doesn´t matter if in Regulation Time or after Overtime/Penalty Shoot-Outs).

Also a OT/PSO lose can be enough for Australia to qualify but Serbia can not beat Spain in Regulation Time.

A Regulation Time lose will automatically eliminate Australia from the promotion contention.

***SRB - will qualify if they win the match against Spain in Regulation Time but Croatia must defeat Australia (It doesn´t matter if in Regulation Time or after Overtime/Penalty Shoot-Outs)

Also a OT/PSO win may be enough, but Croatia must beat Australia in Regulation Time.

Any Serbian lose (Regulation Time or after OT/PSO) will eliminate them from the promotion contention.

****CRO - will qualify only if they beat Australia in Regulation Time and Spain defeat Serbia (It doesn´t matter if in Regulation Time or after Overtime/Penalty Shoot-Outs).

*Belgium and China are still fighting for the maintain in this division and it will be in a direct match.

**BEL - will avoid the relegation if they earn at least 1 point, meaning if they doen´t lose to China in Regulation Time.

***CHN - will avoid the relegation only if they beat Belgium in Regulation Time.
