I think she’s been playing well still, and South Korea is an extremely good team with home advantage. Plus Homan has secured the qualification for the Olympics with the six wins already.

We have a bad habit of downplaying how good some of these other countries are. The Swiss and Koreans are terrific teams… and they take Worlds seriously, unlike us.
 

Those teams build their seasons around Worlds… we pour whatever is left of our champs on a plane two weeks after running the STOH/Brier gauntlet

Or maybe you’re underestimating how good Team Homan has been this season. It could go either way. I mean a loss to South Korea is definitely not disappointing in itself given I know how good they are, but combined with the loss to Scotland… they only had 6? losses on the season heading into this event… 

 

I’m not sure what you mean regarding the bit that we don’t take Worlds seriously.

The Scotland lost was a fluke imo. Korea is a good team and was never going to be easy.

Good point, I think that Scotland loss was what really made me disappointed, and that combined with the loss against South Korea... Team Homan are so good that my expectations are sky high, every time I expect a win. I also forgot about their record against South Korea this season, I believe they've been our kryptonite.
