Hoping for a Repinc vs. Grotian battle on the women's side. A bit surprised that those two won't compete at junior level. The italians also look good as usual and the norwegians are unpredictable since none of them have any recent results.

On the men's side things look less predictable, although Betemps should be the favorite. Engelmann from Germany and Trojer from Slovenia look like interesting talents as well. Also a guy named "Sivert Björndalen" will be competing as well ... :mumble:

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Think he might be Dag’s son, not O-E’s

I think their daughter would be around 8 now.  Xenia might be her name?  It will be interesting to see if she takes up biathlon like her parents.

Ole-Einar was first married to :ITA biathlete Natalie Santer; don't know if there were children.

    • Just rewatched that last minute, because apparently there were a controversy according to medias, but it took almost 15 minutes.  oh dear, this sport is just something else.
    • Apparently was leading 0.4 seconds to go by 3 points but still managed to lose the match     Anyway it looks there some progress from the loses to Albania and co from couple of years ago... maybe thhere a chance for a win in a international match in the next decade. As San Marino proved last week in football, only sky is the limit

    • Hope so (for my adopted country, Norway, that is). Torino 2006 was the first Winter Olympics I followed closely and it was nothing short of a disaster for Norway. Strangely enough, that was actually the reason I became an avid fan of Norwegian winter sports and have been ever since. As for my actual home country, Greece, a medal for Ginnis in slalom (alpine skiing) would be a miracle.
