Such a dramatic turn of events for all teams, as :ROU, :POR and :GRE had the same amount of matches won, points,. AND identical set ratio :yikes:That doesn't happen very often.

 

Congratulations to :GRE, which turned out to have the best small point ratio and therefore qualified to the next round.

I feel bad for :EST, they love volleyball and their amazing fans were the highlight of the championships... they are usually much stronger than this :( They will now most likely end the Euro as the 24th ranked team, the only one that didn't get at least one point in the group stage. Even Austria managed to accomplish this :(

 

Still, today they played like they don't care... maybe they just wanted this European Championship to end, but really, that's unfair to such a awesome group of fans. I think Gheorghe Cretu will get fired, too, so we'll see what happens to this team. Overall they are easily the biggest disappointment of the competition.

Very interesting ending of the group phase... Potentially, neither :SVK or :MKD may advance to the eightfinals, despite having two wins, plus 5 and 6 points respectively. Furthermore, :NED may actually take only 4th spot in Pool D, if :CZE beats them today and then wins over :MNE.

:SLO vs :BUL

 

Both matches will take place in Ljubljana.
