dcro 9,838 Posted February 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2022 Pretty much out of nowhere, Carrie Schopf set a massive PB and won a competitive class in Florida yesterday. Unsurprisingly, it is the first ever CDI victory for Armenia. #banbestmen

dcro 9,838 Posted February 27, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2022 Victory for Schopf in the Grand Prix was impressive. She posted 69% to win, while her usual scoring range was 65-67%. Yesterday however she also won the Grand Prix Special. With 71%. That is huge. Massive congratulations to Schopf and Armenia. She is humble about it. Getting interviewed is a new territory. Spoiler “It is exciting,” she said after the ride. “But you ride them every day, and you’re working toward kind of a goal. So in the end, if he would’ve been first, second, or third, or fifth, or whatever today, when he goes into the show ring and does what he did, which is to meet me in there, and as long as I rode properly, he went properly, so then your feeling is that you’re on the right track. “That you’re doing the right work that benefits the horse, and helps him to become the athlete that our sport would like him to become. And so it’s very gratifying. I mean, winning is… you know, anybody can win on a given day, especially when the scores were as close as they were today. And today I just turned out to be the one that ended up with the top score. But it’s gratifying to have your work and your thought process, and the way you think you want to develop a horse to have that rewarded.” mrv86 1 #banbestmen
dcro 9,838 Posted March 12, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2022 Cathrine Dufour did just enough to finally join the exclusive 90% club - 90.005% in Herning today. It's still early for any predictions, but with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl taking a baby break, the doors are left wide open for Dufour to do something amazing at her home turf this summer... dcro 9,838 Posted March 24, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2022 Absolutely amazing score of 72.348% for Julio Mendoza Loor & Jewel's Goldstrike today. They look amazing and there is so much promise. This is their second competition. Last week they made a debut, and the French judge immediately awarded them 75% (the average was 68%). Today the British judge awarded them 77%. So there really is something big coming up for Ecuador here... https://results.equestrian-hub.com/show/3008/dressage/45396 mrv86 and hckošice 2 #banbestmen
dcro 9,838 Posted March 26, 2022 #8 Share Posted March 26, 2022 Okay, something must be up with the Latin America this year. Double victory this week for Joao Victor Oliva in Jerez. Pretty impressive achievement on the European soil. Both scores are personal bests (and national records). Scorecard includes a whole plethora of 8s, 8.5s and 9s for the piaffe, as per usual for Oliva and Escorial... https://online.equipe.com/en/class_sections/661009 https://online.equipe.com/en/class_sections/661395 Maria Aponte secured her WCh qualification earlier this week, while Jose Beca earned the first out of two required qualification scores in Jerez. Grand Prix riders from are starting to come out of woodworks. While their scores are still not quite high enough for the World Championships, they are definitely building something for the Pan Ams, at the very least. #banbestmen
Olympian1010 4,685 Posted April 7, 2022 #9 Share Posted April 7, 2022 I say we just ditch the horses and just have people do the courses “Sport has the power to change the world.
