It could be ruptured meniscus or torn ACL. Impact was harsh.

To be even harder,it happened after great race and 6th place. :(

Buzzi fractured the tibial plate in his right leg (the same he injured at last season's finals)...

he's going to have an operation in the next few days to stabilize the bone and check possible ligament damages...

his season's over, of course...:(

definitely not the best way to celebrate the best result of your career...:nopompom:

Worst possible outcome. :( Without knowing grade of injury,i would put that moment in ZAP moments on Eurosport. You dont often see injuries after finish line, and you certainly dont see such grave injury.

I was so happy to see him performing so good. Bitter sweat experience after all. :(

Technically,i expected soemthing similar. His skies didnt detach and knee and bones were in abnormal and pathological position.

Even though detachment of skies during race is also very dangerous, in this particular case it would have probably save him.

Hirscher must be playing this twisted game on purpose. Average first run followed by unbelieveable second run. Over and over again.

Can't see him making up that much time on Noel though

    • Edin usually has mediocre seasons though (that being said this has been worse than usual), then really starts to show up for Worlds. He’s only won 4 GSOC events in his career.     They’re at a 4-2 record at the moment, so seems to be the case again. Plus, they played really well in their loss to Canada.
    • I'm in tears, finally I have access after months. For some reason I can only enter the site from my phone. Surely it must be a problem with my home internet connection.
    • With a week to go till the deadline for the world invitational, the rosters look beefy for the discus on both sides.24 entries for the men[19 accepted in so far] and 25 for the women[18 accepted so far] For the men so far there are three 70 meter throwers[i count Denny as that since it's just 4 centimeters off his pb]10 from mid 66 to low 69,three of 65 and over, four from almost 64 to almost 65.On the women's side the 18 accepted throwers all have a pb of over 60 meters.11 of them have  pbs over 64 plus.of the ones still not there besides Valerie and Yaime who have been marketed so i can only assume they will join, such names as  Sandra Elkasevic,Bin Feng, and jordine van klinken aren't signed up yet, jordine's probably the most likely of them to join in tough feng would be a cool surprise,i somehow don't see Sandra doing this, but it would be awesome if she did.Stahl and ceh aren't in yet on the men's side, ceh has been marketed while stahl hasn't been mentioned at all,[pretty sure stahl will not be there],Lukas[last name is too wild for me to even try] and lawrence okoye aren't there yet either but i'm betting both will be joining in.
    • What a shame. That would have been amazing.
    • It's complete American domination in the women's discus rankings so far this year, they occupy the top 4 slots, and the WORST result of those four was achieved at Ramona .Third place currently belongs to Ciera Jackson who had a huge almost 4 METER pr at the west coast relays on friday-64.42[previous best was 60.77 from march of 2023,and she opened her season a week ago with at that time her second best result ever of 60.14]she also had a 63.66 throw to back this new pb up,and finally with her new personal best she took down the school record that stood for 36 YEARS[Btw Valerie Allman actually competed in Ramona on march 30th but conditions were apparently far from ideal and she fouled four times and her best was a 63.61,i don't doubt that in the event that she competes in the  world intational, the conditions will be perfect,i wouldn't be so bold as to say she wouldl get the world record but for sure i think she could get a new personal best.
    • So after finding this this morning     I started to search for more news about the date and ticket prices all over the world web !   I found this then       to just notice later that   it was April fools     so yeah, that was my day
    • Hope we’ll get  qualifying here, and then a combination of  at the OQE.
