Yeah, this Shukh girl is one to watch out for. She's recored 51 m in the javelin here already. I thought Ruckstuhl was much older tbh. She seems to be around for a much longer than in reality.

My money's on Vicente :d

I truly wonder why women's decathlon is not being added as a 'thing' yet. I mean, awesome events are being thrown out of the window left and right to make space for women's events (even if they're not competitive), all in the name of gender equality, yet women still have to accept doing 'only' 7 events, jumping over lower hurdles (and a shorter distance), throwing lighter weights and so on. The whole thing of these special women's weights/heights and only 7 events says "women are not as good as men", which is quite odd to be accepted nowadays.

Please stop this agenda, I don't want all of our Heptathlon athlete hopes thrown out of the window with 2.80 Pole Vault marks.

And what is so wrong with Schippers? Without her, Dutch athletics would be anonymous on a global stage ;)

Ever since switching from heptathlon to full-time sprinter, she's become more and more and more 'arrogant', irritating, angry at everyone, blindly mad as soon as anyone says a fact like 'hey, three years ago you were faster'. She has become pure madness and surely the average Dutch person likes her (because she wins a few medals and coincidentally has the same nationality in her passport as them, so hey, gotta cheer for her!), but among athletics fans (in the Netherlands) she is very, very quickly losing her popularity.

Basically she is one of the most negative people we have in the Dutch world of sports.

Send her to :AHO, or at least to :ARU. It's not nice to steal without giving anything in return. :p

No! How can you even think of sending someone who projects that much negativity to a place with that much positivity? Might as well send another Hurricane Maria/Irma that way, that'd do less damage.

Austra Skujyte has the decathlon world record, so there's hope :d

Austra Skujytė is now training a girl that's breaking all of our U16 100m and Long Jump records.

She (Skujytė)  might have not been a good sprinter in her time (because of how her body was built), but she finished the best sprinter school possible in Lithuania (her coach was Stanislovaitis that passed away two years ago) and is now probably the only person handing down his knowledge, since Lithuanian 100m record holder Rytis Sakalauskas left the sport in 2017 with no interest in coaching.

Also, Skujytė has a son now, so there's hope indeed :d

    • North American rugby quotas ( and qualified automatically)    M: and W: and
    • I remember Caroline Golubitsky. She competed with Vezzali for a while but not for long. Rita Konig, whom Vezzali defeated in the final of the Olympic Games in 2000, was more famous, as well as Sabine Bau and Anja Mueller. From what I remember, the Germans competed fiercely with us at some point, but they almost always lost.
    • Shemyakina won a bronze medal in 2014 Worlds and was one of our leader but leave the squad due to pregnancy (she has 2 daughters if I'm not mistaking, so she chose family instead of sport). And speaking of foil we have back in the day Sergiy Golubitskyi, who was Olympic silver medalist and won some medals in other competitions and coached his wife Caroline Golubitskyi - one of the German foil specialists. Even in women's foil we had medal in Women's foil at the European championship - it was Olha Leleiko, our current national coach. So no, we are pretty good fencing country, and depending on generations of our athletes some events are more "profitable" for us and some don't.
    • Shemyakina that was a very strange story. She unexpectedly won the games but before and after she literally achieved nothing. After that success in 2012 she also completely disappeared. It's only in epee that such strange situations. That's why I've always preferred foil and sabre, because the top was more stable there, although that's changing now. The competition has grown a lot all over the world.
