Nilsson Montlers 6th long jump was first meassured to 7.72, then changed to 8.02 a few minutes later. A few hours later it is now meassured to 8,10. How can they be so sure this time?

It did look like several athletes had jumps that were longer than the result, Nilsson Montler being one of them. Possibly the lines and stuff are not very well lined up.

Anyway, again: too bad it's still 1935 and measuring technology isn't automatic yet.

I think Serdyuk was lapped but for some reason thought she was on the same lap as Bahta so tried to outsprint her...she was certainly nowhere near the Swede for most of the race.

9200m mark:

Prokofyeva - 32:56.04

Serdyuk - 32:19.62

again... what the hell!

If she forgot her lap she should have been DSQed but not DNFed.

Mihambo with clearly the best performance of all favorites. Both Ugen and Proctor (with her gloves) just looking ridiculous.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

If she forgot her lap and stopped one lap too early, why should she be DQ'ed when in fact she didn't finish, which is not breaking a rule? :p

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
